Francisco Meléndez de la Cruz currently serves as Campaign Coordinator at Conservamos por Naturaleza (We Conserve by Nature), an initiative of the Peruvian Society for Environmental Law since February 2022.
Francisco holds a degree in Geography and Environment from the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú. He has experience in climate change, sustainability and disaster risk management projects and programs in institutions such as Midagri, Plan International and PUCP. He has completed internships and studies in sustainability and environment at the universities of Keele, Sussex, PUC Chile, among others.
As a Campaign Coordinator, he currently implements and designs field conservation projects and programs. He also provides GIS spatial analysis for Conservamos por Naturaleza campaigns. He also manages partnerships for the team’s campaigns, with a focus on We Reforest by Nature.
He has been part of the NASA award-winning Deimos project. And his undergraduate thesis was recognized by the PUCP. He publishes regularly in the blog of the collective Jóvenes Peruanos frente al Cambio Climático.
