Katherine Sanchez Lozano currently serves as Legal Coordinator in the Biodiversity and Indigenous Peoples Program of the Peruvian Society for Environmental Law since 2016.
Katherine is a lawyer with a second major in Environmental and Natural Resources Law from the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú. She has experience in environmental law and indigenous peoples issues, among others, and has worked in the collegiate bodies of OEFA and OSINFOR. She has conducted research and publications related to mining issues.
Currently, she is a Legal Coordinator to the Biodiversity and Indigenous Peoples Program of the Peruvian Society for Environmental Law – SPDA, where she has contributed to the creation and implementation of the institutional framework related to the protection of environmental and territorial rights defenders.
